I'm new to this, what do I need to do to have a website built?

There are a few things you need to know about getting a website built. The first is you need to secure a domain name and purchase hosting. Hosting is where your website lives after it is created. Digital Insights can help secure your domain name and set up hosting. We also pride ourselves on the fact that we always secure the domain name in your name so you own it.

The second part of the process is working with the Digital Insights team to create and build the website. We meet with you to discuss your needs and recommend the best technology and tools to accomplish your website goals. You can read more about the 9 Phases of our website design process here


I already have a website, how can Digital Insights help me?

If you have a website, Digital Insights can help to maintain the website, provide online marketing for your website, as well as other critical services. No job is too small or too big. Our designers can make small revisions or do a completely new design for you. Contact us about a Monthly Maintenance Package.


I would like Digital Insights to redesign my website, how is this done?

If you already have a website, we can develop a new website for you that is posted on our servers until it is finished. We provide a link for you to view the new site while the work is in progress. Once everything is complete, we upload the new site to your URL address. So you always have a website that is operational and visible to customers throughout he entire design process.


My site is hosted with an independent hosting company, can you work with my site and website hosting company?

Yes. We can work with just about any hosting company. There are a few things to keep in mind when selecting a hosting company. Do they have back-up servers, what customer service is available (only email support or by phone), and pricing. If you need help selecting a hosting company, we will be happy to help guide you through the process.


Do you provide web hosting?

No. But we highly recommend HostGator hosting. See our Website Resources Page for additional online marketing and website services.


How long does a website take to design or redesign?

Each website is unique. Once we get a clear understanding of exactly what it is you are looking for in a website, we will provide you with a project timeline. A number of factors come into play when estimating design time. A few things to consider include the size of the site, number of pages, complexity and volume of graphics, special features such as interactive forms, and how quickly you can provide approval for mock-ups. As a guideline, an average website takes 3-6 weeks to complete.


What should we do in advance of meeting with you?

A few things you should do before we meet is read through our website design process, find websites that you really like, as well as websites that you really dislike, and you can start gathering images and writing the content that you want to use for the website. We will also send you our website questionnaire that will help guide you through the process.


What about payment?

We accept 50% of the agreed upon amount at the outset of the project, and the remaining balance is paid in full on the day the site goes live or three months from the date the contract is originally signed, whichever comes first . We offer this payment plan to help make the website you want more affordable. Certain restrictions do apply and payments plans are not available on smaller packages, and SEO services.


How will the site content be maintained?

Once the site has been created and published, Digital Insights offers other services such as website maintenance and online marketing for your website. We have several different plans to meet your budget and maintenance needs.
